Food dyes are in so many product. Many you wouldn’t even suspect. They offer us no nutritional value, no flavor, no texture, and no reason to include them in the product, beyond a tradition that dates back to the 19th century, to make food look appealing. Today we consumers have a need for our health’ sake, to educate ourselves and relearn what food is supposed to look like; and push food manufacturers to stop using dyes. Most companies already have dye free options of all their products, which are sold outside the US. So how hard is it to simply sell them in the US as well? Our leaders and government entities such as the FDA need to get out of the mentality that potentially harmful is ok so long as it isn’t proven harmful. Why should we allow for potentially at all? In the case of food dye’s, there is zero reason to allow it. And in any case, why should the burden of proof be put on the consumer, as it has been with dyes? Simply, it never should have gotten here.

Top Ten Forbidden Food In The USA
America is supposedly the land of the brave, and the home of the free. The US of A, as we often call it, is
said to be the greatest and free-est nation in the world. But is America free? Sure, you can carry guns
and can say whatever you want— and do almost anything you want, provided you're not hurting anyone
else or trampling on their rights.
But even America, this great land of freedom, has a list of foods that are banned. Yes, these foods must
not be sold or consumed within the United States. You surely must be wondering how terrible the foods
on this list are for them to be banned in America.
Well, you don't have to wonder anymore.
#10 Ackee Fruit
The Ackee Fruit doesn't sound like a dangerous fruit. It sounds rather unassuming— like something you
might get at a beach resort in the Bahamas.
But it's not.
The Ackee Fruit is a bright red fruit that contains about three to four sections of glossy flesh when it is
fully developed. These sections are topped by glossy black seeds. The Ackee Fruit originates from
Jamaica, and it is also their national fruit.
Yes, the national fruit of Jamaica is banned in America. These things happen. Get over it.
But why is the Ackee Fruit banned? There must surely be a sensible reason, right? You can't just ban
fruits because you don't like how they look, right? Well, that's true.
There's a reason the Ackee Fruit is banned. The unripe and inedible portions of this fruit aren't just
unripe and inedible. They are also poisonous and they can cause what's known as the Jamaican Vomiting
Sickness. The symptoms of this sickness include dehydration, seizures, severe vomiting, and it could
even lead to coma. However, the Ackee Fruit isn't strictly illegal. In 2005, the FDA made it legal for
companies to import canned Ackee Fruit that meets incredibly strict regulations.
#9 Mirabelle Plums
Mirabelle Plums look especially tasty. It has a small oval shape and a smooth textured flesh that makes it
a delight to taste.
Well, we are not saying that we tasted it. We are just saying it looks like it would be good to taste. We'd
never break the law, Mr FBI man!
Anyway, people who've tasted the plums before say that they are sweet and full of flavour. That's
probably why they are often used in fruit preserves and dessert pies. Additionally, the juice of the fruit is
usually fermented into wine or distilled into plum brandy. The plums are also excellent if eaten fresh.
Again, this is from second-hand accounts. We surely didn't break the law to make a video.
So why is the plum banned in the United States? Well, technically they aren't banned. No legislation
expressly forbids you eating a plum in front of the White House. However, Mirabelle Plums are only
grown in Lorraine, France and import laws mean that they are near impossible to get.
So, no, Mirabelle Plums aren't banned in the States. However, they could as well be banned because it's
near impossible to get them. Tough luck.
8. Casu Marzu
Okay, full disclosure, maybe the Cash Marzu does deserve to be banned. Just maybe. Why? Well, the
Casu Marzu has another name. What's that other name? Well, it's called "The Most Dangerous Cheese
In The World".
Generally speaking, any cheese called the most dangerous cheese in the world is cheese you should
probably avoid.
But the Casu Marzu can't be banned just because it has a bad name. There has to be something else,
and well, there is. Well, there are several tiny things. And those things are called maggots.
You see, the Casu Marzu isn't just your regular cheese. It is specially prepared cheese that is filled with
maggots rolling and having the time of their life in it. The cheese is made from Sheep's milk and is a
delicacy of the small Italian island of Sardinia. Even though Cash Marzu takes some time to make, it is
pretty easy to make.
And when it's done, the cheese should have roughly about a thousand maggots. Yes, real-life maggots.
It's little wonder, then, why the Cash Marzu is banned. No matter how tasty the cheese is— and it is
quite tasty, no country will out up with a meal that breaks a thousand health regulations. That's why the
food has been banned in Italy for around sixty years and has been banned in the EU for eighteen years.
7. Queen Conch
The large Queen Conch may look like a beautiful seashell that's just a tad too big, but it's not. Instead, it
is a snail. The meat of the queen Conch is eaten throughout the Caribbean, and it is often exported as a

BLACK THAI JUMPING FISH
1. MR. KINH’S FAMILY HOME
ADDRESS: Tu Le Ward, Van Chan District, Yen Bai Province
🍚STICKY RICE IN BAMBOO: Wash the rice and place it in the bamboo. Add water. Cover the upper part with phrynium leaves and grill over a fire. Use a machete to cut the bamboo bark. Serve with sour buffalo skin.
🐃SOUR BUFFALO SKIN: Grill the buffalo skin and remove the hair. Boil the skin for 45 to 60 minutes. Cut the skin into thin slices and season with galangal, chilis and salt. Place in a jar for 5 to 7 days to ferment the skin.
🐟SOUR DECOMPOSED FISH: Cut the fish in big chunks. Roast the rice then pound it into a powder. Season fish with galangal, lemongrass, chillies, rice powder and salt. Place it in a jar for 3 to 7 days.
🐟THAI TRADITIONAL GRILLED FISH: Cut the fish open and remove the gastric acid. Marinate in lemongrass, chillies, perilla leaves, Thai pepper, salt, and minced local stinky leaves. Place inside the fish then fold fish in half. Place fish on a bamboo skewer and grill for 30 minutes.
🐟FISH GASTRIC ACID DIPPING SAUCE: In a bowl, add the fish gut, local stinky leaves, salt and perilla. Pour the mixture into a bamboo trunk. Use phrynium leaves as a cork. Grill the bamboo trunk for 20 minutes. Pour it out and serve as a dipping sauce.
🌱GRILLED MOSS IN BAMBOO: Wash the moss and chop in small pieces. Season with garlic, chillies, lemongrass, shallot, and cilantro. Place phrynium leaves in the bamboo trunk, then add the moss in and grill on fire for 20 minutes. Remove from the bamboo and serve.
🐟JUMPING FISH SALAD: Cut the banana blossom into thin slices. Squeeze it in water with salt. Mince the fish mint and normal mint. Add a bit of salt to the veggie mix. Add sour juice made from bamboo shoot pickle juice.

Food waste is clogging up landfills and sending greenhouse gases into the air. While we throw out perfectly good food, others go hungry.
Dumpster divers are highlighting this food waste problem by going months eating only from what they find in garbage bins.
